Hello Friends,
What a year! 2021 went by faster than we could have ever imagined! This year was full of unique opportunities to grow and reconnect with our community, families, and friends! As we close out this year, I have some stats for you from us here at Freedom Life Compass. We helped place over 100 people into residential treatment programs or recovery-based ministries. We relocated a mother and child from an abusive environment. We provided Bibles and recovery curriculum to 5 of the jails and prisons in Northwest Florida. And we were able to give shelter to a mother and baby who were homeless. God has been so good this year! FLC's goal has always been to open a resource center and women's residential facility. Our strategy has shifted with covid and as God has moved in our community, but the plan has remained the same. As we approach the new year, I ask you to pray and seek God's will for your life and your involvement with FLC. If you can aid us in achieving this vision, please do! We need a property to begin the next chapter of FLC's mission and open a transitional housing facility here locally. We have no resources for single women coming from life-controlling situations such as trafficking, homelessness, incarceration, or addiction. We have the chance to impact the lives and futures of so many with this resource! If you know anyone willing to partner with us to make the Freedom Life Center a reality, don't hesitate to get in touch with me directly! We are a 501c3 Non-Profit and any donations are tax-deductible! President & Founder Stephanie Wedel 850-830-3479

Happy New Year from FLC!
This past year has brought so many difficulties and hardships for so many but it has also allowed our resolve and character to shine through. One of the most impactful things to come from 2020 is the use of virtual meeting platforms, organizations from around the world have been able to connect people who would have never been placed together, virtual events to help make this world a better place have become normal and families have been able to connect more than ever before. God has used this horribly chaotic year to move in mighty ways! We are so grateful here at FLC to have seen God use us and the finances donated to help families and individuals throughout Northwest Florida and even further places, find hope and healing in Jesus and through Christ centered recovery! We started the year with about $4,000 in the bank and we have helped several people with shelter and recovery resources, we provided countless homeless hygiene bags, and 100's of resource packets to local law enforcement and social service agencies. We have been blessed to partner with local organizations such as AMVETS, VFW and the American Legion, Crosspoint, Kiwanis Club, Okaloosa Anti-Drug coalition and the Blue Water Bay rotary, to raise awareness and funding. We were even able to bless Saving Grace Women’s home with a $2,000 donation to help with their recovery home opening this month! It has been an unbelievable honor to help our community and we are closing out 2020 with over $15,000 this just shows how faithful our God is, and that when we work for him he will continue to supply our needs. We are still a long way off from obtaining a facility to provide transitional housing and life skills training but we know that, in God's timing, we will be able to achieve all of our goals here at Freedom Life Compass. Please join us in praying for God's will to be done and for more and more people to find Freedom in Jesus in 2021! If you would like to donate or volunteer please check us out at Freedomlifecompass.org or visit our New Year’s Campaign https://www.flipcause.com/secure/cause_pdetails/MTA1NTEz God Bless you all! I know it will be tough I know the battle ahead will be stormy and rough. But, this I know and believe, the fight is not mine solely for Jesus will be with me through this journey entirely. This road is going to be long, I know it will be grueling I know the struggle will be uphill and exhausting. But, this I know and believe, God’s Word will keep me going and through the challenges they way He will be showing. This road’s going to be hard, don’t know how long on it I’ll spend but, I know and believe . . . victory will be mine in the end! ~~~~~~~~ 1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of Godovercometh the world:and this is the victory thatovercometh the world, even our faith. King James Version Public Domain Copyright 2019 Deborah Ann Belka There are just a few really important moments in life where our choices severely impact our future. In these times we need to really focus on how the way we live our lives is really impacting those around us and our futures. Lord knows I have spent many years living a life that was numb to the world around me. I spent so much of my life wasted on things that will never have eternal benefits. Now I am living a life full of purpose, joy and drive to help others find the peace and purpose I have found through Jesus Christ and the Celebrate Recovery Ministry! I pray that if you are visiting this site you will find what you need to turn your circumstances into just that and not what controls your life. Jesus can and will make the circumstances irrelevant. He can free you from your pain, self hate and resentments. How! You ask? Through GRACE. I didn't understand grace when I first began attending church 4.5 yrs ago. Once I did understand EVERYTHING changed. I was able to forgive myself for my past and then others for their choices because of the forgiveness I received in my acceptance of Jesus Christ! I know this is alot to grasp! just start easy - *Get plugged in! Start going to church on sunday or find a small group or just find a Celebrate Recovery in your area and start getting around good people who are living a life you want. God will take care of the rest. We can change! I'm living proof that circumstances do NOT define us. I grew up in a other than desirable home, we didn't have the opportunities that most do and I struggled most of my life to make sure that I would not be defined by my past. I used drugs, alcohol and sex as ways of filling voids in my life and I lost everything more than once. But I can stand here a successful business woman, wife and leader in my community because CHANGE IS POSSIBLE! Through the saving GRACE of Jesus Christ I have been healed and I'm made new! 2 Corinthians 5:17
Please reach out and make the CHOICE to not allow your life to be defined by your circumstances! We are here to help You! |
