The Freedom House is a safe sober living environment for women who are ready to change their lives.
Freedom House residents are able to learn valuable life skills geared to prepare them to become independent, successful contributing members of society and help them break the cycle of dysfunction in their lives and in their families.
The Freedom House transitional housing program allows women exiting homelessness, incarceration, human trafficking, and addiction treatment to have a safe place to go and identify their needed life skills. They will gain valuable life skills training, counseling, and individualized care plans.
While in the Home, the women will be expected to work and attend life skills training classes, such as but not limited to financial peace university, classes offered at career source, resume building, business etiquette, Microsoft Office Suite, and many more. They will be plugged into a community group and begin to engage in community service hours while residents are in the program.
We will walk alongside them as they build relationships, gain knowledge, and find their passion. They will take a personality assessment to discover what career field best suits them and be given a case plan to follow, catered to their specific needs. Women in the program will be held accountable by their peers, leaders, and mentors. Each woman will be paired with a mentor to walk alongside them and build them up.
The program is structured for individuals to follow the rules, including attending classes, church, life groups, and individualized case management. Women in the program will be expected to submit to random drug testing and room searches. There is no tobacco, drugs or alcohol allowed. Residents will also be expected to pay 20% of their income into the program for living expenses and 40% into a savings plan for when they exit the program.
The Freedom House, participants will prepare for independent living while working closely with staff and participating in education and job training programs. They will spend 25 hours per week toward program goals. They will also be expected to participate in community service of 20 hours per month and participate in regular appointments with their case manager and other staff as required by your specific case plan.
